Description

Solicitation F19617-03-B-0003, Project YTPM 91-0101, Repair C-5 Maintenance Hangar Doors, Bldg 7040, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA. The scope of work consist of design, fabrication and installation of custom specialty aperture hangar doors which consists of new C-5 aircraft form fitting closure system, complete and operational, consisting of weather-tight flexible foam collar, related structural members, equipment and controls. Repair components are (1) aperture door closure system, (2) aperture opening framing, (3) aperture door control systems and (4) hangar door control interface. Repair work includes the following (1) structural steel fabrication and erection, (2) metal siding, (3) painting, (4) electrical wiring and (5) aperture door, product design, fabrication and installation. This project is being solicited in accordance with Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The small business size standard applicable to this project is $12,000,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) Code is 238990. Bid issue will be 13 August 2003 with a due date for submission of bids of 15 September 2003. Performance period will be 145 calendar days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. All requests to be placed on the bidders list must be done by mail, fax or e-mail, telephone requests will not be honored. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided. A complete copy of the solicitation will be provided on a C-D ROM disc. Plans and specifications will be available for examination at the 439 CONF/LGC Office, 250 Airlift Drive, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, AM 01022-1526.
