- The Southeast Facilities Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, is preparing to advertise for proposals for work at the following postal-owned facility: LAKE CITY, FL MAIN POST OFFICE PHASED EXPANSION Solicitation No: 123125-04-A-0381 Location of Facility: 250 NW Main Boulevard, Lake City, FL Construction Features: This solicitation invites proposals for the phased expansion of the Lake City Main Post Office. Contractor will be evaluated on references showing large phased (minimum of 3 phases) renovation experience. Reference is made to Clause B-38, Accident Prevention. All construction work on projects must be performed in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. If the U. S. Postal Service is fined for OSHA violations caused by the contractor, the contractor shall pay the fine or reimburse the U. S. Postal Service for the amount of the fine. Small, minority-owned, and women-owned subcontracting participation is encouraged. The USPS subcontracting goals for this contract are minimums of 40% for small businesses (less than 500 employees), 10% for minority-owned businesses, and 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. Proposal/Bid Bonds are not required, but letters from your Bank & Bonding company ARE part of your evaluation and required with proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required from the successful offeror within 10 days of Notice of Intent to Award. ****A Preproposal Conference is planned for July 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the site.
