Description
This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items has been amended to include the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) minimum standard for paper. This announcement constitutes the first amendment; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) and is unrestricted. The RFQ number is SSA-RFQ-04-0523. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2001-24. The associated NAICS code is 424110 and the size standard is 100 employees. The requirement is for 880 cartons of 8 1/2 X 11, 24 lbs White Digital Color Expressions Paper (Xerox 3R11380) or an equal that adheres to the EPA's minimum standard of no less than 30% of post consumer material. Delivery shall be FOB destination; delivery shall not be later than August 9, 2004 to the Social Security Administration, Middle River Warehouse, 2800 Eastern Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21220. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. Quotes shall address all requirements in this combined synopsis/solicitation and failure to address a specification /requirement will result in a nonresponsive quote. SSA anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis solicitation. Quotations will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2, Evaluation of Quotations of Offerors. Award will be made based on lowest technically acceptable quotation. All interested vendors must submit a quotation no later than 9:00 a.m. EST on July 9, 2004 to Social Security Administration, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Attention: Michele Tubman, Baltimore, Maryland 21207. All questions must be received by email to Michele.Tubman@ssa.gov by 9:00 a.m. EST on July 7, 2004. No phone calls will be accepted. All vendors are to include with their quote, one ream of paper if an equal is quoted, a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial items (JAN 2004, a statement addressing compliance with the EPA standard and a signed copy of the SF-1449 Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Item.
