- REVISED ANNOUNCEMENT DATE: THE GI2Vis BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT DATE HAS BEEN REVISED FROM JULY 2, 2004 TO ON OR AROUND JULY 30, 2004. THE ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE POSTED ON NGA's WEBSITE (www.nga.mil). The Advanced Research and Development Activity (ARDA) initiated the Geospatial Intelligence Information Visualization (GI2Vis) Advanced Research and Development Program during FY2000. The two-year Phase II of GI2Vis will conclude in late FY2004. This effort addresses the two-year Phase III of GI2Vis that is programmed to run from FY 2005 through FY 2006. The Intelligence Community must deal with an ever-increasing amount of massive, complex, disparate data. Visualization technologies have the potential to provide analysts with capabilities to find patterns and relationships in this complex data environment. The Geospatial Intelligence Information Visualization Program will be pursuing innovative technologies, algorithms, methods, processes, or techniques with the potential for significantly advancing the current state-of-the-art in areas that are directly and materially related to one or more of the following Program goals: ?Integration and Representation of Disparate and Large Information Sources; ?Maximizing Visualization Effectiveness and Facilitating Visualization Use; and ?New Visualization Paradigms A Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) will be available on the NGA web site at www.nga.mil on or about July 30, 2004 (Click on Business Opportunities). All responsible sources capable of providing innovative GI2VIS concepts and products may submit a proposal for consideration. Proposals will be submitted to the e-mail address stated in the BAA. NGA expects to award multiple procurement contracts valued up to a total of $2.5 million for FY05 and $2.5 million for FY06. Award of these contracts is Subject to the Availability of Funds.
