Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement to dewater the Southwest Spillway to replace the logs, inspect and resurface the water control structure which includes expert assistance with setup of the Aqua Dam. As authorized by Parts 12 and 13 (13.106-1(b)) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (48CFR Chapter1), we intend to purchase a specific material-rubberized water-filled cofferdam rental from Water Structures Unlimited, which we believe is the only company that makes/manufactures this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but not later than 4:00 p.m. local time on 07/12/2004. Faxed and emailed statements are acceptable, but the senders bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. All inquires and concerns must be addressed in writing to this facsimile number (404)679-4057, Attn: Frances Brown, or email address fances_brown@fws.gov. Any such statement of capabilities and qualifications received by the deadline will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
