Description

This combined synopsis/solicitation is a notice of intent to purchase on a sole source basis from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI), under Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 12, and Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. This requirement is for MapObjects JAVA software licenses, 2,500 each, P/N: MOL046, with one year?s license maintenance, October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, and license maintenance renewal for the following four periods: October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006; October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007; October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008; and October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009. Renewal of license maintenance is to be accomplished prior to expiration of coverage. The requirement is determined to be available from only one source because of the unique features and proprietary nature of the item. No formal request will be issued for this procurement. Any responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition requirement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
