Description
Department of the Army, Defense Contracting Command -Washington (DCC-W), on behalf of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Health Affairs (OASD/HA), Deployment Health Support Directorate (DHSD), intends to award a follow-on single source (one-year) contract to Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corporation, 12900 Federal Systems Park Drive, Fairfax, VA 22033. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source under the auth ority of 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The objective of this contract entitled Department of Defense Deployment Health Support Directorate Program is to continue a wide range of analytical and consulting services to analyze and investigate issues r elated to military public health, force health protection and health service support during deployments, extended training missions and operational testing; perform organizational planning for deployment activities and medical readiness; and provide dedica ted project space to support current and future activities. In addition, the contractor shall continue to provide maintenance of facilities and lease of real property subject to 10 U.S.C. 2410a - location - 5113 Leesburg Pike, Suite 901, Falls Church, VA. The period of performance of this contract will be for only twelve (12) months. No RFP is available for competitive proposals at this time, however, upon an on-going review and t ransfer of the DHSD to OASD/HA TriCare Management Activity (TMA) a competitive procurement is anticipated during the 2nd Qtr FY05.
