Description
Notice of intent to negotiate a Sole Source contract with Vanguard Rugged Storage at 6525 Gunpark Dr., Suite 370-510, Boulder Colorado 80301. Vanguard Rugged Storage can provide storage systems which are required to be compatible with, and will augment, our Vehicle Network System, providing an integral component to equipment which was built and is currently supported by Vanguard Rugged Storage. The company has the desired experience and knowledge and is expected to be the only source that can provide the services required. The Department of Energy intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Responses shall reference "Request for Proposal No. DE-RP52-04NA25305". The Contract Type being considered for this award is a Firm-Fixed Price type contract. Delivery shall be 12 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO). Work to begin upon Receipt of Order. This acquisition is a 100 percent small business set-aside. Offerors should indicate whether or not they are a small business, small woman-owned business, small disadvantaged business, or 8(a) business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334112 with a corresponding qualifying size standard of 1,000 employees (indicates maximum allowed for a concern, including its affiliates, to be considered small). The NNSA Service Center intends to purchase the following line items: Item 1 -- VRH-80-3 Removable Hard Drive, 80 Gb, 44 pin, ATA/ATAPI-5/IDE, approximate dimensions 3.5" w. x .75" h. x 4.5" d. Quantity: 197 Each Item 2 -- VRDB-HH-7 Half-Height Docking Bay for VRH-80-3, 44 pin, ATA/ATAPI-5/IDE, approximate dimensions 4" w. x 1" h. x 6" d. (industry standard 3.5" form factor) Quantity: 197 Each Delivery shall be made to the U.S. Department of Energy, Albuquerque Operations Office, Warehouse Bldg. No. 20397, Pennsylvania and K Streets, Kirtland AFB East, Albuquerque, NM 87115-8050. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. Only those Offerors who can furnish the items that meets all the requirements specified herein will be considered. Award will be made based on the lowest evaluated price. All Offerors will need to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification -- Commercial Items with the offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. It is the responsibility of the contractor, prior to the quote due date and time, to verify successful transmission in accordance with the Proposal Submission instructions in the "IIPS Users Guide for Contractors."
