Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)intend to enter into a sole source purchase order with Cornell Nanofabrications Facility, Ithaca, NY. This requirement involves facilities usage for fabrications usage. Cornell is qualified due to the services being performed by internal personnel. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order . The requred period of performance is from September 1, 2004 through Aughst 30, 2005. The proposed requirement is for the use of the facilty by internal personnel for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a requet for competitive quotations, However, all capability statements quotations received by July 9, 2004 will be considered by the Govenment. A determinaiton by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon reponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government, Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A request for quotation (RFQ) package is not available.
