Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to procure a Gamma Spectroscopy System. The system shall include but not limited to: A low energy germanium gamma-ray detector with no less that 65 millimeters active crytal diameter, 25 mm detector thickness, <=475 eV @ 5.9 keV and <=750 eV @ 122 keV energy resolution, and all associated cables, A multi-channel analyzer with 16000 channels of spectral memory, high voltage power supply, preamp, and amplifier, Low background cryostat system with 30 liter dewer of liquid N2, and stand, Lead shielding with cylindrical shield and a minimum of four (4) inch wall thickness, Computer for system control and data analysis with CPU and pre-installed software for data acquisition and analysis, required cables for interfacing, monitor, keyboard, and other items for computer operation, and System installation and training with minimum two (2) day on site initial setup and system test and operational instructions during setup and testing period. The system shall be installed/delivered FOB to the USDA, ARS, National Sedimentation Laboratory, Oxford, Mississippi. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about July 19, 2004. These dates are tentative and will be specified in the IFB package.
