- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit responses from commercial vendors on an anticipated contract for Traceable Military Sealift Operations Center (MSOC) Containers. The Navy seeks information about modifying two new/one time use traceable 20-foot containers in prime condition meeting ISO dimensional standards and certified by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for use to build in an office communication system used by the Military Sealift Command. The minimum requirements include: ABS approved trued up primary access doors ABS pre-approved emergency access hatch built into end opposite main doors ABS approved roof top mounting rail built on the top to specifications Inside walls and overhead built out with ?Z? bars, complete foam in place insulation and isolators, and covered with white plastic covered aluminum panels Reinforced tapping bars/plates installed behind the walls prior to foam installation Compartment at one end with reinforced and insulated walls Reinforced floor and insulated Conduit network behind the walls for electrical and data cable runs Specified high capacity HVAC unit installed Special outside preservation and lettering as specified Complete ABS inspection and certification One year Warranty on labor, materials, and preservation There will be frequent (2-3 times per week) on site progress reviews required. As such, the preferred place of performance is Norfolk, VA, where the items are to be delivered. The Government is anticipating a Single Award Firm-Fixed Price Type contract; however, there is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement at this time. This requested information is for planning purposes only. There is no intent to reimburse providers for the cost of submitting information in response to this RFI. SPAWARSYSCEN requests a Statement of Capabilities (SOC) from those submitting information. Responses must include the following: (1) name and address of firm; (2) size of business, including: average annual revenue for past three years and number of employees; (3) ownership, indicating whether: Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Women-Owned, HUBZone, and/or Veteran-Owned Business; (4) number or years in business; (5) two points of contact, including: name, title, phone, fax, and e-mail address and; (6) DUNS Number (if available); (7) affiliate information, including parent corporation, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime).
