Description

POC: Jean Schilling, U.S. Geological Survey, Box 25046, MS 204A, Denver, CO 80225, Telephone: (303) 236-9239, Fax: (303) 236-5859, e-mail jschilli@usgs.gov. The U.S. Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC), Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) located in Golden, Colorado has a requirement for non-personal services to provide 1) software design and implementation of seismic (earthquake) processing algorithms (Me, Moment Tensor, strong motion processing, finite fault modeling) as real time processing modules in C and C++, 2) design and development of real-time seismic processing modules using the algorithms in (1) and integrating the modules into the NEIC data-driven system architecture 3) interfacing to the NEIC Oracle database using NEIC API, 4) having knowledge and experience to adhere with NEIC and Earthworm system architecture, 5) configuring, installing and testing Earthworm systems and the Volcano modules, RSAM (Real-Time Seismic-Amplitude Measurement) and SSAM (Seismic Spectral-Amplitude Measurement System) at several seismic networks, 6) enhancing existing NEIC and Earthworm system code to extend the functionality of the system under the MS Windows 2000 and Solaris operating systems, 7) testing on prototype system at the NEIC (on-site requirement), and 8) provide user and programmer documentation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be available on or after July 15, 2004. It is anticipated a one year basic contract with two option years will result from this action.
