Description
Alter and Repair Base Theater, Building 219, Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. Dollar magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, plant, labor and supervision to Alter and Repair the Base Theater, Building 219 at Charleston AFB SC. The work includes but is not limited to: Alterations: All new work to enclose existing entry and construct new entry with canopy. Repairs: All work to repair interior and exterior of facility and systems, including finishes, seating, miscellaneous theater systems, such as curtains, seating and stage. Includes upgrades to mechanical, electrical, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), communications etc., systems. Total performance time is 391 calendar days. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted and will be evaluated using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value of the Government. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. This project is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible but not later than 10 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of the recent experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollars amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers; (d) evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from HUBZone concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, with a small business size standard of $28.5M. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 16 JUL 04 on Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies or CDs will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Contract award will be made no later than 30 SEP 04.
