Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Miros A/S, PO Box 364, 1372 Asker, Norway to provide the following equipment: 3 each SM094/10 Microwave altimeter; 1 each SM094/50 (SW excluded, Chesapeake PORTS Spare); 1 each SM094/85 (LA/LB PORTS Sensor). Delivery is required within 30 days of receipt of purchase order. Delivery to be F.O. B. Destination to the NOAA, NOS, Field Operations Division, 808 Principal Court, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). The NAICS Code is 334290, small business size standard is 750 employees. Miros A/S is the only know source capable of providing the required parts. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required system. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. Telephone requests will not be honored.
