Description
The Coast Guard intends to modify the Architect-Engineer contract awarded to Berger-ABAM for Construction Contract Support Services and Field Support Services. The contract is in support of the construction contract for Dredging Services located at Pier 36, Integrated Support Command Seattle, WA. The Coast Guard intends to raise the ceiling amount of the contract from Construction Contract Support Services and Field Support Services from $450,000 to $495,000. This is an increase of $45,000.00. Berger-ABAM is the engineering firm of record for design of Pier 36 work covered under this contract. Berger-ABAM has knowledge of Pier 36 conditions which would result in duplication of costs to the Government that would not be recovered through soliciting competitive proposals. The contract requires responses from the designer of record regarding questions from the construction contractor regarding the specifications and/or drawings during the maintenance dredging. On site services may also be required during construction. The estimated services under this contract are not expected to exceed $495,000. Questions regarding this announcement should be address to the Point of Contact. Interested parties wishing to challenge the governments position must provide sufficient documentation to demonstrate their ability to satisfy the governments requirements stated above not later than 10 days from the date of publication of this notice to the point of contact.
