Description

A Drive System Upgrade Design for incorporation into the AH-64D Apache Longbow Remanufacturing Aircraft. The new design will provide a drive system with increased horsepower per pound of drive, lowering Operational & Sustaining(O&S) costs. Primary fe atures shall include the use of Face Gear technology (high power transmission application), advance alloys such as PW53, near net forging of gears that allow weight savings with greater load transmission, advanced corrosion protection and advanced technolo gy bearings. This reqirement is sole source to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, 5000 East McDowell road, Mesa, Arizona, 85205-9797. This requirement will be accomplished under Basic ordering Agreement (BOA) DAAH23-0G-0024. See Numbered Note 22.
