Description
This is an update to a previous synopsis issued 6/13/03. The Government intends to solicit a proposal and negotiate sole source with Boeing Company St Louis under the authority of FAR 6.302. The services required are Type I Special Training services supporting various Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers on the Boeing C-17 aircraft. Training capability must support all model C-17 aircraft for aircrew operational and maintenance training both in the US and overseas locations. Requirements may be conducted in multiple foreign locations simultaneously. Training will include academic and OJT/Operational, Type I Maintenance and student support requirements for all specialities including, but not limited to the following: pilot/ loadmaster (aircrew) ground school, flying training, flight weapon system trainer, air refueling, airdrop, firefighter/rescue, night vision goggle training, engine run, movers/aerial port, instructor, engineering and Type I Factory Maintenance Instruction. Note that contractor may also be responsible for housing and airline transportation of students during CONUS training. Technical data is not available and cannot be obtained. An Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract primarily consisting of firm fixed price contract line items, with a few cost reimbursable and time and material line items is contemplated. The estimated period of performance is 1 Jan 05 ? 31 Dec 05 with four one year options. Place of performance is various CONUS and OCONUS locations.
