- Description
- The U. S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to acquire four (4) Multi-channel irradiance radiometers. Cosine Collector Equipped Irradiance Radiometer Multi-channel irradiance radiometers are necessary for the assessment of UV and photosynthetically active radiation effects on coral reefs in the CREWS (Coral Reef Early Warning System) network. Data needs to be collected using very low power, < 8 mA, matched sensors above and below the water. Sensitivity of 1 x 10-6 ??E/cm2/s up to 0.45 ??E/cm2/s is necessary to determine minute differences in the attenuation of natural waters and to handle the intense light in the tropics. These radiometers will be deployed at all CREWS stations at all coral reef on both the Atlantic and Pacific monitoring networks.Required Specifications:Power Consumption: 8ma or less (Solar Panel Powered Moored Buoy Deployment),Sensitivity: In water 1x10-6 ??E/cm2/s to a maximum in air of 0.45 ??E/cm2 /s,Dynamic Range: 5 orders of magnitude without averaging, 6 with averaging over , 10-second intervals. Cosine Collector Angular Response: ?? 2.5% up to 650, 10% up to 850 (Lower is better) Bandwidth: ?? 5.5nm width in 305nm wavelength and 10nm in all other wavelengths. All interested parties may fax their offer within ten (10) days of its publication. Facsimile quotes will be accepted to the attention of Sharon Walker at 816-426-7530.
