- Description
- Contract consists of Maintenance Dredging of Sta. 162+308 to Sta. 250+440, Inland Waterway Delaware River to Chesapeake Bay, Delaware and Maryland. Dredging will be required to a depth of 40 feet with a one-foot allowable over depth, with no side sl opes delineated and/or paid for along both channel edges (box cut). Dredging will be performed to a point extending 25 feet outside the channel edges in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Approach Channel where shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the auth orized channel limits. The material to be removed must be performed by bucket dredge and bottom dump scows only, with material placement in overboard disposal area known as Site 92 in the Chesapeake Bay. The completion time for this project is 120 calend ar days. The Solicitation documents will be available on the Internet Web page on or about 13 July 2004. Bids will be opened on or about 12 August at 1:00 P.M. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web page and hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors can download the Solicitation (including any drawings) and any amendments from the Internet at the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the Solicitation. It is the contractor??????s responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractor??????s information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible for making changes to their user profile on the Internet Web page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause a delay in receiving notification of the Solicitation and any amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the Solicitation including any drawings and amendments. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and bonding is required. All contractors must be registered in the DoD??????s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
