Description
The project consists of a new two-lane 2500 ft connector road with sidewalk, pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridge, three span, total lenght 220 ft with 150 ft center span, which ties the property located northeast of SR 280/South Cobb Drive to the main base at the interestion of Atlantic Avenue/ 5th Street/Lake Circle. Structure has hammer head intermediate bent and end bents on metal shell friction piles. The bridge is designed in accordance with GDOT standards. Other structures include two bott omless culverts, multi-span steel arch with a 12-ft span and 5-ft rise, and a double 10 ft x 10 ft cast in place culvert box. A 5-leg roundabout is proposed at this interection to improve traffic flow. Other improvements on the base include a new 600 ft e ntrance to the Navy/Marine Corps Reserve Center, a 500-ft relocation of Ridenour Drive and a new 1200 ft road that will provide access to the fitness center on the base. Proposals received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated by the Governm ent in accordance with the following criteria, listed in descending order of importance: Construction Past Performance, Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience, Management Effectiveness and Construction Duration and Price. All evaluation factors when c ombined, other than cost or price, are approximately equal to cost or price. This project will be available for full and open competition, has a NAICS CODE OF 237310 and is subject to the HUBZone Price Evaluation Preference. The price range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. This project will be available on CD and by downloading from the Internet on or about 13 July 2004. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486- based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or great er, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive.
