Description: The contract will require the design and construction of two barracks, two related latrine/shower facilities and a pre engineered metal classroom facility. The contractor will also be required to connect the utilities and any related site work. The contract will be open to all companies willing to respond to the solicitation. The contract will specify a percentage of labor be reserved for Afghans. The solicitation will be posted on or about 12 July 2004. The solicitation will be posted at Http ://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/ebs_contracting/index.asp. The contract award will be a best-value procurement. The due date for proposals will be two weeks after the solicitation is posted. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
