Description

The contract will require the design and construction of two barrack buildings and two related latrine/shower facilities. The contract will also include the renovation and addition to the existing dining facility, new fences and a new guard house. All work will have to be completed in accordance with the United States Army Corps of Engineers Specifications. All work will be accomplished at the Kabul Military Training Center in Kabul, Afghanistan. The contract will be open to all companies willing to respond to the solicitation. The contract will specify a percentage of the labor be reserved for Afghans. The solicitation will be posted on or about 12 July 2004. The solicitation will be posted at Http://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/EBS_Contracting/index.asp. The contract award will be a best-value procurement. The due date for proposals will be 28 July 2004. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor mu st provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at HTTP://www.ccr.gov.
