- A fixed quantity, firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for National Stock Number (NSN): 2840-01-325-8744NZ; Part number: 4074229-01; NOUN: Synchronizing Ring; There will be three first articles as part of the production quantity and the contractor will perform testing of the first articles; Quantity Ranges: Minimum 25 each, Medium 48 each, Maximum 73 each; Required Delivery: 9 each monthly starting in May 2005; Destination: Ship to FB2039; Size and Dimensions: O.D. Diameter approximately 44.79 inches, I.D. Diameter approximately 42.50 inches, approximately 1.97 inches in height and 1.12 inches wide; Predominant Material: AMS 4919 Titanium Alloy; Form, Fit and Function: is a component of the F100-PW-229 Engine augmentor module. The ring controls the convergent segments by a series of interconnected connecting links. Actuators move the ring forward and backward, which increases and decreases nozzle throat area; The award will be made to an approved source; Qualification requirements are available for this Part Number upon request. Qualification information can be obtained from OC-ALC/BC, Attention: Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive, Suite 1AG85A, Tinker, AFB 73145-3009, (405) 739-7243 or (405) 739-7244. Please note that the Government is not required to delay contract award in order to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The Government plans to compete the requirement using performance-price-tradeoff procedures. The Government plans to issue a solicitation 15 days from the date of this notice. Potential offerors can obtain a copy of the solicitation from this FEDBIZOPPS web site as soon as the Government has issued and posted the solicitation. To obtain required technical data, potential offerors must use TEDS at https://www.fedteds.gov/. The anticipated closing date of the solicitation is 45 days from the date of this notice (the exact date and time will be included in the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the Government. The award date is estimated to be on or about 20 August 2004. See Government-Wide Numbered Notes 23 and 26.
