Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract to perform Clamshell channel maintenance dredging within the Columbia River between Chinook, Washington and the head of Sand Island. The project is located entirely within Pacific County, Washington. The project features a navigation channel that extends two miles from the head of Sand Island to a turning and mooring basin at Chinook, Washington. The two miles of access channel is authorized to a minimum project depth of 10 feet below the mean lower low water (MLLW) vertical datum and an average width of 150 feet. The solicitation and resulting contract will contain a base and optional work items. Contractor is required to commence work within 5 days of receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete the entire work not later than 30 September for the base item (time stated for completion includes final cleanup of premises). Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Invitation for Bid (IFB W9127N-04-B-0009) will be available on or about 10 Jul 2004. Tentative bid opening is on or about 10 Aug 2004 or 30 days after issue. This procurement is open to both small and large business concerns.
