- Description
- The U.S. Army, Armament Research, Development, Engineering Center, Non- Lethal/Scaleable Effects Team, Picatinny, NJ is seeking sources for support consulting work for improvements to be made to the non-lethal muzzle launched ordnance (MLO) currently under development. The MLO is designed to be a Non -Lethal munition that is attached to the muzzle of the M4 carbine or M16 rifle. A blank cartridge is used to launch the non-lethal payload. A bullet trap version is also in development. Improvements to be made are to the reliability, safety, producibility, and ruggedness of the ordnance. The contractor will provide recommendations for improvements and upon approval from ARDEC, provide updated manufacturing drawings as part of the US government-owned Technical Data Package. Prospective contractors should have the prerequisite experience in the field of small arms design. Send information requested in Numbered Note 25 via email to dapgar@pica.army.mil.
