- Description
- The R.L.R. VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN is advertising for construction work at the VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI. The project will include, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials (except a 20 ton HVAC machine), equipment, supervision, transportation, and labor necessary to complete the IT Expansion Project consisting of demolition, general construction, mechanical, electrical and modifications to the existing building control system. Primary construction activity will take place within an existing 1,800 sf computer facility, with ancillary work occurring both above and below the computer room for utilities and HVAC. The offeror shall furnish/obtain any/all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work in the State of Michigan, The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 236220, with a Size Standard of $28.5 million. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation is to be issued on or around July 15, 2004, with a proposal due date of approximately August 15, 2004. All offerors will need to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) Note: Ensure your registration has not expired. The estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Solicitation will be advertised through the Business Opportunities website (www.bos.oamm.va.gov). Paper solicitations/amendments will not be issued. Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As used in this provision: "Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern"? (1) Means a small business concern? (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). Note: Numbered Note #29(SDVOSB set aside)applies.
