- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F1004641540100. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04 and DFARS Change Notice 2002-0002. All responsible sources shall submit a written proposal, which will be considered. Facsimile submissions will also be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 811310; the small business size standard is 6 million dollars annualy. This combined synopsis/solicitation is unrestricted. Item/Services Description: The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing and installing all labor, parts, materials and all operations necessary to convert/update the existing Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth from 60Hz to 50 Hz at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. The Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth is currently set up to operate at 60 Hz, however; the Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth shall operate at 50 Hz after it has been converted/updated. Blasting Booth Model: Pauli Systems, Inc., Kelly AFB Spec. Blast Room, 15'x12'x20'". Performance measures: The Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth shall operate at 50 Hz after it has been converted/updated. Note: If the Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth does not operate correctly at 50 Hz, because the necessary parts were not converted/updated to meet the 50 Hz electrical requirement, the contrator is responsible to update any parts to make it operate correctly at their own expense. PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: The contractor shall provided a list of parts to be converted/updated with their proposal. This list will be used for evaluation purposes only, If the Pauli Systems walk in Plactic Media Blasting Booth does not operate correctly at 50 Hz the contractor is responsible to correct the problem at their own expense (The contractor is the expert, failure to include a part to be converted/updated in the list of items does not warrant an additional cost to the government). The proposal shall have 2 line items. Line item one shall include all costs for the parts to be converted/updated, line item two shall include all costs for Travel (eg. Airfare, Rental Vehicle, Hotel), Labor and any other Miscellaneous Expenses. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price offer. FAR 13.106-2, Evaluation of quotations or offerors The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offer whose offer conforming to the solicitation will provide the best value to the government. The government reserves the right to make award to other than the low bider. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
