Description
Description: The government is issuing this Request For Information (RFI) as part of a market survey for modernization of range instrumentation and simulation to increase live fire training capability and effectiveness at the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTFTC), Twenty-nine Palms, CA. PMTRASYS plans to acquire a Company Live Fire and Maneuver MOUT training complex and a Multi-Vehicle Convoy Live Fire and Maneuver MOUT complex as a Non-Developmental Item (NDI) acquisition. The MOUT complexes will consist of (1) nonpermanent structures, (2) stationary and/or moving targets, (3) battlefield effects simulators (including sounds, firing signatures, hit signatures, kill signatures, smoke, noise, dust, lights), (4) portable and fixed base target controllers, and (5) MILES compatible shoot back devices. As part of this RFI, the Marine Corps System Command, Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS), releases a DRAFT Statement of Work and DRAFT Systems Requirements Document for industry comment. The vendor should supply comments to the documents indicating ability to meet specified requirements, specific items requiring clarification for responsive industry proposal, and specified requirements which un-necessarily drive system procurement or lifecycle cost. Received comments will be considered by the Government for basis of modification to the subject documents. Comments will not be directly responded to but may be addressed collectively at a future date during or prior to solicitation. This documents and all future documents are available for download from the PM TRASYS website, Business Opportunities Division at: http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/trasys/trasysweb.nsf/All/B3C9089505B12F5C85256D98004BC152 This request for comment in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided. It does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. All information provided becomes USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Submissions are due on or before close of business June 23rd, 2004. Submissions received after this date may or may not be reviewed. POC: All comments should be submitted to Mr. Fred Boehne, Jr. (Phone: 407 380-4269, email: Fred.Boehne@navy.mil, mail or delivery: Program Manager for Training Systems, Attn: Mr. Fred Boehne, JR (MOUT), 12350 Research Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826-3275).
