- Description
- This project is to provide roof repair services at the Charleston Air Force Base and North Auxiliary Air Field, South Carolina. This contract will be awarded as a Requirements contract with one base year and four option years. The magnitude of this contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per year. The following is a list of work to be accomplished: Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary for roof repair to include inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of various roofing systems (built-up, shingle, metal, and standing seam metal) at Charleston AFB proper, and North Auxiliary Airfield near Orangeburg, SC (approx. 90 miles north of CAFB). The contractor shall be responsible for hazardous material testing and abatement, demolition and disposal, carpentry, sheet metal, painting, caulking and similar trades related to the repair and replacement of various roofing systems. Demolition may include the removal and disposal of asbestos and lead containing materials. Carpentry may include minor repairs to wood structural and deck systems and replacement of wood fascias, soffits, and related trim. Extensive replacement of concrete and gypsum decks is not anticipated under this contract; however, miscellaneous demolition and repairs may be required. Repair and replacement of metal decks may be required depending on the extent of damage and deterioration. The successful offeror will be evaluated using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures resulting in best value to the Government. Past Performance and Price are considered approximately equal. The solicitation will be available on or about 07 July 2004 and may be downloaded from the website: www.eps.gov. Hard copies/CD’s of this solicitation will not be provided. Contractor proposal is required to be submitted in electronic form, disk or CD ROM. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. NAICS 238160.
