Description
The US Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina has a requirement for training in the Accelerated Hummer Course in preparation for future combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The purpose of the amendment is to provide answers to the following contractors' questions. Question:Are their any available Hummer Specific Training Areas? Answer: Yes, we have land laid on at White Sands Missle Range, NM. There is no pre-determined course. Question: Are their any terrain maps with trails marked for off-road training areas? Answer: The Government will provide the maps and yes we have an area that is marked off for this training. Question: What configuration of Humvee's will be supplied for the training (I.a. 2 seater, 4 seater, slantback)? Answer: The vehicles we will be using is a up armoured 4 seater Humvee weighing about 7,000lbs empty. The cargo area in the back is open, it's not a Slant Back. Question: Will a spare Humvee be readily available in case of emergency? Answer: Yes. Question: Will a request for spare parts be filled for the repair of the Humvee during the training process? Answer: If needed, due to unavailable repair parts the Government will replace the vehicle with another one. Question: Will the customer provide two way radio communication between the trucks or will that be a contractor issue? Answer: The Government will provide radios.
