- This amendment is issued to revise the specification, add a site visit, answer questions received, and to extend the closing date of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) from 21 June 2004 to 06 July 2004, 4:00 p.m. HST. The specification is revised as follows: Incorporate the following into the specification: 1. Remove and dispose of all debris that?s excess for both pavilion slab areas at the Riseley field picnic area to include dirt, rocks, grass and anything else that?s dug out to install the cement slabs. 2. Two separate sites at the Riseley Field picnic area shall be dug up and made ready for the concrete slab, both slabs are to be in accordance with the requirements per pavilion manufacturer?s specifications. 3. Each slab shall have re-bars throughout that line up with the bleacher configuration. Edges of the slab will be thickened. 4. Two ?Mesa Model? 24 ft x 16 ft Classic Recreation Systems, Inc shelters or equal (100 mph, 24 ga HR-36 steel roof, 4:12 pitch, 100 mph wind load) to be erected on each slab at the specified areas. Shelters to include galvanized frame with surface mounted columns. Incorporate FAR 52.237-1 Site Visit into the solicitation. A site visit is scheduled for 28 June 2004 at 8:30 a.m. HST. Please meet in the parking lot near the playground by Riseley Field. All responsible parties interested in attending the site visit shall fax or email their name and company no later than 24 June 2004, 4:00 p.m. HST. The fax number is (808) 257-2350 and the email address is NagayamaSM@mcbh.usmc.mil. Question: What is the height requirement for the metal shelters? Answer: Minimum eave height is 8 ft. 0 in. Question: Is the site flat and is it site accessible? Answer: Yes Question: Will utilities be provided? Answer: Yes, for construction only. Question: Will the shelters require lights? Answer: No Question: Does ?provisions for electrical? mean just providing 110V electrical outlets or do you intend to install lights as well? Does the contractor have to run wires from an existing power source? Answer: No electrical work required. The Marine Corps Community Services will install after shelters are installed. Question: According to solicitation, ?installation of pad?? is to be included. By ?pad? do you mean a concrete slab under the shelter between the steel columns? Answer: Yes, ?pad? means concrete slab. The closing date for this solicitation is revised from 21 June 2004 to 06 July 2004, 4:00 p.m. HST.
