Description

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for Edwards AFB, CA for the following commercial items:******Grieve High Temperature Furnace-HC 1250 OR EQUAL-1 each. High Temperature Electrically heated cabinet oven. -maximum continuous operating temperature of 1250 degrees F, inside working space of 50” wide x 50” deep x 50” high -digital, microprocessor based, thermocouple activated, indicating temperature controller with digital timing system (0.3% accuracy) -at least 160kW total heat input -temperature uniformity of no more than +/- 11 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the working space -automatic door switch -horizontal swing door at front end –3/4” IPS stainless steel pipe port -230 VAC, 3 phase, 60hz electrical connections -4200 CFM stainless steel recirculating blower -6” diameter exhaust outlet with blast gate damper to adjust exhaust flow -comply with OSHA, NFPA standard 86 (rated for “Class A” operation), National Electric Code (NFPA 70), and UL 508 industrial control panels -detailed operating and maintenance manual including troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical parts lists, component literature, wiring diagram and piping schematic -Frieght included.***** This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 333994 applies to this procurement. The small business size standard is: 500 employees. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-23 and Defense Change Notice 20040513. FOB: Destination for delivery to 295 N. Wolfe Ave, Bldg 3810, Edwards AFB, CA 93524. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Quotes are due no later than 4:00 PM PST, Monday, 14 Jun 2004. *Additional Information: Oven will be used to vaporize/remove residual fuel from external tubing, etc. and remove all evidence of coking. Oven must be able to fit through door that is 9’8” high and 20’ wide.
