- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation FQ487741381200 is being issued as a request for quote. (iii) This solicitation incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22. (iv) This requirement is being synopsized as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 238330, small business size standard of $12 million. Please contact POC for an updated version of the wage determination 90-2025 (revision 29). (v) Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor and equipment necessary to remove 4770 square yard (SY) of carpet and cove base (12,600 LF) and install GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY- CARPET & COVE BASE. Occupants will remove furniture. All work areas shall be cleaned up and left safe for occupants. Buildings to be carpeteed are 3508, 3509, and 4224. (vi) Period of Performance (POP) shall be determined after award has been made. Place of performance is Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ 85707. A SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY JUNE 17TH, 2004, 1 PM MST, AT DAVIS-MONTHAN AFB. Please RSVP point of contact listed below prior to attending site visit. (vii) Provision 52.212.1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. Basis for Award. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. (viii) Offerors are required to submit a completed copy of 52.212.3, Offerors Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with their offer. (ix) Clause 52.212.4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following is an addendum to 52.214.4: Permits and Responsibilities For Work: The contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any applicable Federal, State, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations in connection with the prosecution of the work. It shall be responsible for all damages to persons or property that occur as a result of its fault or negligence in connection with the prosecution of work. It shall take proper safety and health precautions to protect the work, workers, the public, and the property of others. (x) Clause 52.212.5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
