The location of the work is shown on the attached maps. The drill rig shall be capable of operating on rough terrain and steep slopes. The vendor shall be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the crew and its equipment. The crew must be well trained in the operation of the equipment and must be skilled in all phases of specified work. Equipment used by the vendor shall be capable of efficiently performing the specified work, shall be in good operating condition, and must be maintained in such condition while performing the work. If the equipment cannot efficiently perform the work or experiences frequent breakdowns, then the vendor shall furnish suitable replacement equipment in a timely manner. The work is scheduled to begin on July 26, 2004. The government representative will establish the hours of work each day, not to exceed 10 hours per day Monday through Friday. The vendor may request working on Saturday and/or Sunday, however approval will be at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The vendor will be required to make his/her equipment and crew available at the agreed time. Work during the established days and hours shall be continuous unless the government representative, due to weather or site conditions, temporarily suspends operations. The government shall have the right to suspend operations without prior notice, pending correction of such deficiencies as improper performance of equipment, inefficiencies of the crew, or any other cause of unsatisfactory performance for which the vendor is responsible. The vendor shall specifically and distinctly assume all risks of damage or injury to persons or property resulting from any negligence or unauthorized actions of his/her employees in performing the work.
