Description
The office of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary located in Santa Cruz, CA. has the following requirements for a Nautronix ATSII Acoustic Tracking System or equal which include the following: main Control Unit w/ transit case, stainless steel omnidirectional hydophonew transit case, ATS or equal mini beacon with depth telemetry, responder interface and cable, EO whip for responder operations, 30m cable with transit case, junction box, battery charger, operation manuals. The performance must be equal to a Nautronix ATSII system which uses chirp technology. Performance must be demonstrated trough independent literature and field trials. The complete system shall include all cables, transport cases, battery charger, and operation manual. The system must be portable and scalable to include external VRU?s, gyrocompass, GPS, and a computer interface. The system must have the following overall performance:1km slant range of operation, 0.25% RMS of slant range for overall accuracy, 1m RMS range accuracy, 0.14 deg. bearing accuracy, 2000m operating depth, 6kts trough water and 10kts relative to hydrophone track speed, 4 simultaneous targets min., 8 targets max. Deck unit must have a standard 19? rack, 14? 256 color display, 2VRU?s, 2 hydrophones, 2 analog heading devices, 2 analog linear VRU?s, 2 RS232 serial ports for heading, computer interface, dynamic positioning. Cables must include 30m length hydrophone cable, 3m responder interface and 1m EO whip. Hydrophone must have 360deg. Horizontal beam, 180deg. Vertical beam Acoustic pattern, 0.1% at 10deg., 1% 10-45deg. Pitch Roll Sensor, 196db output power. The mini beacon with depth telemetry must have responder or transponder with automatic switching mode, 186db output power and 1000m minimum depth rating.
