- Description
- This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation under solicitation number M67001004Q0043. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310. This solicitation is unrestricted, and the government intends to only make one award. The purpose of this solicitation is for a service contract to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on screw type industrial air compressors and refrigerated air dryers located at Marine Corps Base C amp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station NC. The line items and estimated quantities are as follows; CLIN 0001- Is for the quarterly preventative maintenance of government owned industrial air compressors with the following makes; Leroi, Grimmer Schmidt, Comp Air Kellog, Sullair, and Champion and for the quarterly preventative maintenance of refrigerated air dryers with the following makes; Ultratro, Airtek, Deltech, and Champion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune starting 01 July 2004 through 30 June 2005 with four priced out option years. CLIN 0002- Is for the quarterly preventative maintenance of government owned industrial air compressors with the following makes; Leroi, Grimmer Schmidt, Comp Air Kellog, Sullair, and Champion and for the quarterly preventative maintenance of refrigerated air dryers with the following makes; Ultratro, Airtek, Deltech, Zeks, Kaeser, and Champion aboard Marine Corps Air Station from 01 July 2004 through 30 June 2005 with four priced out option years. The Contractor shall submit an annual preventative maintenance schedule along with their competitive proposal and no later than 14 days prior to the start date of any exercised option period. The schedule shall outline the timeframe the services will likely occur. Any technician performing work on refrigerated dryers must have a valid EPA refrigerant certification. A detailed repair estimate shall be submitted to the assigned government representative prior to the commencement of any work. The estimate shall contain an itemized list of the materials and labor cost required to perform the tasks as set forth in the checklist provided by the government. All replaced components and fluids shall meet or exceed those specified by the manufacturer and shall be insta lled in accordance to the regulatory standards thereof. The contractor shall retain all replaced components for a period of 7 days after completion of repairs and make them available for inspection upon request. FOB site: Destination. The following provisions/clauses and apply to this procurement-FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 Period for acceptance of offerors. The government requires a minimum acceptance period of 120 calendar days. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items. Proposals will be evaluated based on the offeror's technical ability to meet the government's needs, past performance, and price in that order. The contractor shall submit two references as past performance, to include company name, contract number, phone number, point of contact, and other relevant information. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The contractor shall submit a completed copy of Representation and Certifications, contained in FAR 52.212-3, with their proposal. Offerors that fail to furnish required representations or information, or rejects the terms and conditions of this solicitation, may be excluded from cosideration. FAR 52.212-4 Contract terms and conditions -commercial items, FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders applicable to Defense acquisitions of commercial items no later than 60 days from the date of contract award. All repairs shall commence within 24 hours of receipt of authorization and shall be completed within 48 hours of commencement. Contractor assumes responsibility for any and all unused material upon receipt, and will transport dispensed and undispensed materials back to their facility for pr oper disposal.
