Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform rehabilitation of Rock Creek Recreation Area, Loop C. Project includes construction of 12 campsites in Loop C including selective demolition of asphalt pavement and other items, clearing and grubbing, trenching and backfilling for water and electric lines, site grading, construction of 12 cupboards, installation of furnishings, landscaping, restoration, and incidentals. Approximate quantities include 3000 LF of 6? x 6? landscape timbers, 900 Tons of #10 stone, 2400 LF electrical conduit with associated conductors, 400 LF of 1? water line with 3 valves and 4 hydrants, 6 trash bins, and installation of 12 each RV power pedestals, picnic tables, fire rings, lantern posts, and cupboards. If funds are available, includes construction of 5 walk-in sites with 5 each picnic tables, fire rings, lantern posts, and cupboards, and associated trails and parking area, including approx. 1330 LF of 6? x 6? landscape timbers, 600 Tons of #10 stone, 1 trash bin, landscaping and restoration. Some materials are Government-furnished. A pre-bid meeting will be held. Contract time is 210 days from effective date of Notice to Proceed. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $100,000 and $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Cherokee National Forest, Nolichucky/Unaka Ranger District, in Unicoi County, Tennessee. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, IFB SAZ 04-04-31, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about June 28, 2004 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ All vendors are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration database (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ A handbook and other information are available at the site, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process.
