- The IRS Small Business Program Office will be hosting a TIPSS 3 Networking Conference on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the conference is to assist small businesses in understanding the TIPSS 3 acquisition requirements, answer questions related to the TIPSS 3 acquisition, provide an overview of the CMMI Level 2 requirement, discuss set-aside and subcontracting requirements, and provide an opportunity for small and large businesses to network with each other to discuss teaming/subcontracting arrangements in preparing for proposal submission. The conference will be held at the New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB), 5000 Ellin Road, Lanham, MD 20706 in the Auditorium. Parking will not be available at the building; however, the NCFB is located just adjacent to the New Carrollton Metro Station (Orange Line). If you plan to attend this event, please be advised that the Metro is the best alternative for travel. All companies interested in attending this conference must pre-register. Both small and large businesses may register (limit one person per company). Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The conference is limited to 300 persons. There will be no walk-in registration available as access to the building is limited to those who have pre-registered. You will be required to show a picture ID to gain access to the building. The deadline for registration is by close of business, Wednesday, June 30, 2004. Lunch will be on-you-own; however, there is an award-winning cafeteria adjacent to the Auditorium. Please include the following information in your e:mail: (1) Name of Person Attending, (2) Company Name, (3) Company Address, including address, city, state, and zip code, (4) Company Phone Number, (5) Company Fax Number, (6) E:mail Address of Attendee, (7) Business Size (i.e., SB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, W/O, V/O, SDVOSB, LB), (8) Interested in TIPSS 3 as a Prime Contractor, Subcontractor, or both, (9) Previous contract/subcontract work at the IRS or Treasury, Yes or No and if Yes, list Contract Name and whether you were a prime or subcontractor. In order to properly register for the conference, all of the above information must be included in your e:mail. Information received will be used as registration information and for the development of an attendee listing. Again, deadline for registration is by close of business, Wednesday, June 30, 2004.
