- Description
- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) solicits proposals for the award of procurement contracts for research in Semantic Markup and Exploitation of Geospatial Products. These contracts will consist of two research areas of interest: (1) Geospatial Semantic Web Technologies and (2) Agent-Based Evidence Assembly and Marshalling for Geospatial Analysis. A Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) will be available on the NGA web site at www.nga.mil (click on Business Opportunities) on/about 16 June 2004. All responsible sources capable of providing research in one or both of these areas may submit a proposal for consideration. Proposals shall be submitted to the address stated in the BAA on or before 3:00 p.m., eastern daylight savings time, on 21 July 2004. NGA expects to award multiple procurement contracts valued up to a total of $1 million, or about $3.8 million including options. It is anticipated that awards will be for a base period of one year, plus two (2) one-year options for a total period of performance not to exceed three years. Proposals for a base period of one year or a base period plus one (1) one option year will also be considered. Awards will be made at funding levels commensurate with the research and in response to the Agency mission. It is anticipated that one or two awards in each research area will be made. Base period awards are expected to be in the range of $250,000-$500,000 per award. The total amount of any award, including option years, will not exceed $950,000. Grants, cooperative agreements, and/or other forms of federal assistance will not be awarded.
