Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Contracts Office intends to award on a Sole Source basis to Triton Elics, Inc. (TEI) of Watsonville, CA the upgrade of the current version of the XDP client-server software (XDP2000), include the NFESC MATLAB algorithms for calculating soil strength profiles from acquired XDP data and investigate and develop a method to interface a common console workstation with the topside processor of an Edgetech Sub-bottom Profiler (SBP) over a Windows 2000 client-server network to provide remote keyboard, video and mouse function for the SBP processor. Demonstration of the interface and report describing the method used to develop the interface will also be required. TEI is the only contractor that has worked on the software for the XDP System and has the unique knowledge required in completing the critical upgrades to the new version (XDP2000) of the software needed to meet Navy real-time data analysis requirements. This will be awarded on a Firm Fixed Price using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. See Note 26.
