- Description
- The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP 797-NC-04-0014 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)and Department of Defense (DoD)requirements for Salsalate Tablets. Salsalate Tablets have an estimated annual usage of - Salsalate 500MG, 100 tablets, 8,878; Salsalate 500MG, 500 tablets, 28,820; OR Salsalate 500MG, 1000 tablets, 14,410. Also, Salsalate 750MG, 100 tablets, 16,444; Salsalate 750MG, 500 tablets, 37, 092 OR Salsalate 750MG, 1000 tablets,18, 546. NOTE: Where there is a choice of package size as indicated by the word ?OR?, the offeror must submit a price on at least one of the two sizes indicated. Award will be made on the package size most advantageous to the Government. The estimated quantities listed above are for VA and DoD only. The estimated quantities for IHS and BoP will be provided once the solicitation is issued. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors (PPV). Tablets must be compatible with automatic dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.) and if the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Glass bottles are not acceptable. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of June 23, 2004 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management?s (O&AMM) internet web site @ http://www.va.gov/o&amm/busopp/sols.htm. Offers will be due by 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on July 22, 2004.
