Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR BLACK BODY SYSTEM. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to Modify the Requirement. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to June 11, 2004. Three Blackbody system per the following description. A three blackbody system for integration into an advanced atmospheric remote sensor to be implemented on a high-altitude aircraft platform with specifications as given in the attached table. The table shows requirements for the hot blackbody (hbb) and ambient blackbody (abb). The third device is also a "hot" blackbody to be used for spectral calibration by being placed in back of a gas cell, and would therefore not require stringent thermal control or ultra-high emissivity; it would only have to be of the same diameter as the others and need to be heated to a temperature maximum given for the hot BB. The ABB will remain at ambient temperature, and its temperature will be read only. The HBB will be heated to up to 110K above ambient (maximum absolute temperature of 75C), and its temperature will be both controlled and read. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on June 11, 2004. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
