Description
NASA/GRC has a requirement for for exhibition rental space at the AIAA Joint Propulsion Conference at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a NASA GRC exhibit from July 11-14, 2004. The exhibits will feature organizations involved in air breathing, liquid, solid, nuclear, electric, and other forms of propulsion for aerospace, as well as those involved in engine systems, environmental controls systems, ground support equipment, software, testing, analysis research and development, management, propellant tanks, thermal products, noise and vibration, and simulation components of this technology. This event provides participants with one of the largest-ever technical paper selections of any AIAA-sponsored conference. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) as the only known source that can meet the Agency's requirements. The technical sessions as well as the exhibit area are solely under the responsibility of AIAA. Exhibit space CANNOT be rented from anyone else. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 6/14/2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
