Description

The Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region Contracting Center-East at Fort McPherson, GA intends to solicit a contract for the management, administration, and operation support for the Transportation Motor Pools located at Fort Stewart and Hunter A rmy Airfield (HAAF), GA. This is a follow-on requirement and the incumbent has a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 728. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, personnel, equipment, an d supplies, except as specified as Government furnished. In addition, contractor shall furnish drivers for buses, tractor/trailer combinations, and cargo trucks as specified. The Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) fleet consists of approximately 350 vehicles, 25 0 located at Fort Stewart and approximately 100 at Hunter Army Airfield. Task areas include multiple functions, which encompass administration support, operation/scheduling of driver licensing, training and testing section, motor vehicle operation and dis patch, transportation support to include school bus services and shuttle services to Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, and vehicle inspections for safety, cleanliness and serviceability. This solicitation will be issued as 100% set aside for small business concerns, IAW FAR Subpart 19.502-2, and shall result in a firm fixed price contract with a base period of 12 months plus four one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this req uirement is 485999 and the Small Business Size Standard is $6.0 million. Tentative solicitation issue date is on or about July 14, 2004. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
