- This acquisition is for a DEWE-5000-IPC-M 1553 MUX & WMUX BUS Analyzer Interfaces, used to upgrade the Comet Engineering Stations. This equipment is required for update of the F-16 Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) provided by the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF). Sole Source: SBS Technologies Inc 7339 Evans Road Ste 202 Scottsdale AZ 85260. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the proposal. However, all proposals received prior to the closing date on the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this item from additional sources. The Air Force needs can be satisfied only by this unique equipment due to compatibility with existing equipment. Anticipated award date: 02 JUL 2004. Electronic procedures will be used to solicit this acquisition.
