- Description
- The U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command plans to negotiate with Brown International Corporation on a sole source basis for effort entitled, Joint Based Expeditionary Connectivity Center (JBECC) Mission Support and Future Operations Center Te stbed/Prototypes Integrationa and Field Service Support. Brown International Corporation was awarded a letter contract in March 2004. This synopsis is for additional effort to the letter contract. This effort is to support the SMDBL in the JBECC, FOC Te stbed/Prototypes, and Futures Lab Programs by providing the following: (1) Identify technical requirements/improvements to include hardware and software procurement necessary to enhance Command and Control (C2) capabilities to existing or future platform s (2) Engineering design services to include mechanical engineering design, electrical engineering design, safety engineering, logistics and manufacturing support, systems engineering and test engineering (3) Prototype fabrication and manufacturing of e quipment such as cables, cable assemblies, shelves, racks, mounts, brackets, etc., to include modifications, upgrades and retrofit of existing equipment and systems (4) Systems Integration support relative to testbed/prototypes or existing SMDBL program s as changing requirements or new technologies are identified (5) Vertical layout drawings, ICDs and User Guides for FOC Testbed/Prototypes and Operations and Maintenance Manuals (O&MM) and Technical Data Package (TDP) for existing JBECC and FOC programs (6) Logistic support by providing maintenance and supply support to all platforms under test and deployed SMDBL systems as directed (7) Processes, procedures, techniques, training devices and equipment for use in training civilian and military personn el in the operation and support of JBECC and FOC Testbed/Prototypes (8) Exercise/Deployment support to include set up, tear down, exercise/deployment, and routine maintenance in support of existing JBECC and FOC Testbed/Prototypes.
