Description

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is seeking sources that have the capability to transport MARAD personnel by marine vessel on short-notice, as-needed basis, from Washington, DC to Piney Point, Maryland. The requirements are as follows: 1. Transport approximately 40 persons from the nearby marinas (within walking distance from the Department of Transportation Building at 7th and D Streets, S.W., Washington, DC) to Piney Point, Maryland 2. The vessel should be ready to transport within two hours of notification to the vessel owner. 3. The vessel can draw no more than 10’ fully loaded (available depth alongside the pier at Piney Point) 4. The dock face can accommodate vessels no greater than 200’ in length. Interested parties should submit their capability statements addressing the requirements listed above to Ms. Barbara Gillum via e-mail at Barbara.Gillum@marad.dot.gov by June 21, 2004.
