DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. T his solicitation will be issued on or about June 24, 2004. The Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The work at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam consists of replacing existing roller bearing and lip seal assemblies on three auxiliary water supply pumps. An intermediate and upper guide bearing shall be removed from each pump, and replaced with Contractor supplied thin film hydrodynamic vertical journal bearings. New bearings shall be split constructio n. Major elements require fabrication of a cast oil reservoir; stand pipe oil seal; stainless steel journal; and cast bearing housing with cast white metal bearing. Installation will include machining new keyways into the existing pump shafts. Completion time for this work will be March 1, 2005. ADMIN INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1629 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAI CS) code is 237990. For the purpose of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $28,500,000. This is a set aside procurement in accordance with HUB Zone set-aside procedures and FAR 19.1305. All responsible HUBZone business sources may submit an offer, which will be considered.
