Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates award of a five (5) year Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The requirement is for Telecommunication Services at the following five (5) correctional facilities: FCI-3 Butner, NC; USP-2 Coleman, FL; SWF Hazelton, WV; FCI Pollock, LA; and USP Tucson, AZ. Telecommunication service for the local dailing area (ISDN-PRI Service) shall be available for testing on a date provided in the solicitation. All of the required telecommunication services must be able available for use by a date to be determined. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials and labor to install and provide one (1) local loop DS3 (45 Mbps) Service from the nearest Serving Wire Center to the location stated. The Contractor shall provide the DS3 Service for twenty-eight (28) DS1 (1.544 Mbps) Channels for local T1 circuits. This service shall include ISDN-PRI, and local access T1 circuits from the Government's FTS2001 carrier or any other carrier that has interconnect agreements with the contractor for local access service. In the event Local ISDN-PRI Service is not available in the local dialing area, the contractor shall submit options for providing the service to the location. The installation of DS-3 Service is not a guarantee of revenue or usage. Service requirement will be awarded for five (5) years. This is not a request for quotation. The solicitation should be released on or about February 27, 2004.
