Description

The Contractor shall provide a new, complete automatic control system for control of plating processes in the Plating Shop, Building 4035, at the Naval Air Depot. The control system shall provide, as a minimum, monitoring and control of plating tank process temperatures and levels, exhaust and scrubbers fans, rectifiers, make-up air units and auxiliary equipment. The existing power and control wiring serving the plating shop is run in conduit below the exposed grating floor of the plating shop above. This project will also include relocating all of the control and power system wiring to above the production floor and the demolition of all below floor wiring and conduit. This project will include work in confined spaces and work in close proximity to hazardous materials. All materials to be removed from the plating shop are classified as hazardous; therefore, extensive hazardous waste disposal will also be required for this project.
